Pressure Regulator Valve also named pressure reducing valve. (3) Flow Characteristics

1. The fluctuation of inlet pressure of pressure reducing valve should be controlled at 80% ~ 105% of the given value of inlet pressure, if it exceeds this range, the performance of pressure reducing valve will be affected.

2. Usually, after reducing, the pressure PC should be less than 0.5 times of the pressure before reducing, that is, PC<0.5 P1. Each gear spring of the relief valve is only suitable for a certain range of outlet pressure, beyond which the spring should be replaced.

3. In the medium working temperature is relatively high occasions, the general choice of pilot piston-type pressure reducing valve or pilot bellows pressure reducing valve.

4. Medium for air or water (liquid) occasions, generally suitable for the direct action of the film-type Pressure Relief Valve or pilot film-type pressure relief valve.

5. Medium for the steam occasions, the appropriate choice of pilot Piston or pilot bellows pressure relief valve.

6. For ease of operation, adjustment and maintenance, pressure relief valves should generally be installed in the horizontal pipeline.
